My painting, Rolley Creek were accepted into the "2024 Water Exhibition" to be held at the Federation Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC.
I am following the lead of a number of my art teachers who had their artwork shown at the Federation Gallery with one of them having served as president of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) for eight years.

My painting, Kanaka Creek No.2, was awarded FIRST PLACE at the 2024 Landscape Exhibition! at Federation Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC. This the most popular annual exhibition seeing the most entries of FCA exhibitions. This is the sixth painting I have had accepted into an FCA exhibition within the last six months.

2024 I've Been There Exhibition: Apr 10 - May 22, 2024

My painting, Kanaka Creek No.4 was accepted into the "2024 I've Been There Exhibition!" sponsored by the FCA (Federation of Canadian Artists). This is my fifth painting accepted into an FCA exhibition within the last six months. My painting was chosen by the Langley Art Council (LAC) as the base art for their poster advertising this exhibition.

Two of my flower paintings were selected to be in the 2024 Bloom Exhibition at the Federation Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC. My paintings, Fire Red Rose and Wild Pink Rose. This is the second of four exhibitions my artwork will appear in the Federation Gallery or a gallery exhibition sponsored by the FCA. I see this as a great honour to be seen in the Federation Gallery as many of my art teachers were showing members with one being the president of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) for 8 years..
Garibaldi Art Club Annual Fall Art Show: Nov 17-19, 2023

Myself and many other artists from the Garibaldi Art Club will be participating in the Garibaldi Art Club Fall Art Show. To be held at the Albion Community Centre in Maple Ridge, BC.
The Art Show Reception was held on Friday, November 17, 2023 Over 200 paintings will be presented at this art show. Two of my paintings won awards: 2nd Place and tied for 3rd Place at this art exhibition. |
Nature Trust of British Columbia Exhibition: Oct 17 - 27, 2023
My painting, A Stand of Threes No.3, won Third Place (Bronze Award) at the Federation Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC. This was the first time I had placed a painting into a Federation Gallery exhibition.

THE WEST FINE ART SHOWGROUP ART SHOW: August 11-12, 2023
I participated as an artist in the West Fine Art Show held in August 11-12th, in the Coast Langley City Hotel Convention Centre. 25% of all art sales went toward helping the Langley Hospice Society. There were be 25 participating artists at this art show. The next West Fine Art Show will be held in February 2024.

GROUP ART SHOW: March 3 -5, 2023
I was honoured to have been selected to participate as an artist in the West Fine Art Show to be held in March 3-5th, in south Langley at the Yorkson Creek Middle School. The 25% of all art sales go toward helping with initiatives that support students in Langley School District #3 . There were 21 artists participating in this art show. There were 21 artists showing at this West Fine Art Show. In August 2023, the next West Fine Art Show may be as many as 30 artists. The location is rumoured to be in a casino in the lower mainland.

Deer Lake Art Gallery: Jan 7 to Feb 5, 2023
Myself and one other artist presented our artwork at the Deer Lake Art Gallery in Burnaby, just a stone's throw from Deer Lake. I grew up not far from Deer Lake. Garibaldi Art Club Annual Fall Art Show Nov 19-20 2022
Myself and many other artists from the Garibaldi Art Club participated in the Garibaldi Art Club Fall Art Show. held at the Albion Community Centre in Maple Ridge, BC. Over 200 paintings were present at this art show this year.

SOLO ART SHOW: Feb 2-27, 2022
My artwork was shown at the Gallery (Centennial Lodge) in Queen's Park, New Westminster. I showed over 20 of my paintings, and sold 3 of these, at my "Looking At Local Nature" art show, which ran from February 2nd (Wednesday) until February 27th (Sunday).

I was very excited to be part of the Garibaldi Art Club Exhibition. One of my paintings (Blue Mountain Railway Trail) was part of this group's art show at the ACT Art Gallery in the ACT Arts Centre located at 11944 Haney Place, Maple Ridge, BC, Canada. This was the first art show I participated with that was close to where I live. The art show started October 24th (Saturday) and ran through to December 12th (Saturday).

DEER LAKE ART SHOW (BURNABY): SEP 5 - OCT 10, 2020
I was very excited about one of my paintings (Deer Lake Trail No1) being selected to be part of the group art show, 50th Anniversary Exhibition: Art Since 1970 at the Deer Lake Gallery. The Deer Lake Gallery is a 750 square-foot gallery space located in the home office of the Burnaby Arts Council facility located at 6584 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Canada, which is just a block away from Deer Lake. I grew up in this part of Burnaby, close to Deer Lake and Burnaby Lake. The art show starts September 5th (Saturday) and runs to October 10th (Saturday).

FORT LANGLEY ART SHOW: JUL 17 - AUG 16, 2020
Two of my paintings were on display at the, "Together Alone: A Community Responds To Quarantine" art exhibit at the Fort Gallery in Fort Langley, BC, Canada (located on Glover Road across from the cemetery). The art show ran from July 17 - August 16, 2020. This was a group show of around 15 local artists, all of whom showed their very nice art in a variety of mediums and sizes.

SOLO ART SHOW AT THE MISSION ART GALLERY: FEB 11 - FEB 29, 2020
My first art show in over 18 years and my first solo art show. Not including student art shows, this was technically my fourth art show. All of the art in my show was rendered between September 2019 and February 2020, a total of the 30 pieces, with the exception of one 9x12-inch acrylic painting on canvas board. The art shown on this page is just a small sampling of the 30 pieces I created for my art show.

The art show poster I designed for my solo art show at the MAC gallery in Mission, BC. The painting in this poster is my "Hicks Lake No1", which I rendered in October, 2019, 5.7x8.5-inches using acrylics with ink on watercolour paper. The final poster size: 7.5x11 inches. I also created a 5x7-inch mailer version of this poster on 100lb card stock.

ART SHOW HISTORY
I have had several art shows in my life starting with student art shows while attending art school. My emphasis has always been on working in the industry and on commissions than showing my art but since February 2020 I shifted my focus toward showing in art galleries. In May 2019 I submitted a portfolio of my artwork to the MAC gallery in Mission, BC, and was offered a solo art exhibition.
