My artwork has focused on exploring and preserving local natural history and Biophilia. Over the last six years, I have driven up to 2-hour distance from home, seeking inspiration for my art. I have explored outlying regional parks for their lakes, streams, forests, valleys, and mountains. Within 2 hours, I can be in an alpine meadow among the wildflowers and clouds with a vast array of snow-capped mountains that disappear into the haze of the far-away horizon, or walking along a secluded ocean beach shrouded in morning fog. The region I live in is uniquely positioned close to many diverse ecosystems. The beauty of many of these natural, remote settings is only a short distance away, waiting to be discovered and rendered into art.
