Hicks Lake is located in Sasquatch Provincial Park, British Columbia. Although it may appear that Hicks Lake is in a remote part of British Columbia, it is in fact only 20-minutes from the town of Harrison Lake . The only downside with visiting this park is the condition of the gravel roads in the park. There are many potholes making for a rough drive. However, the lakes and streams in this park are nothing short of beautiful and breathtaking.
My Hicks Lake painting is one of two paintings I rendered of Hicks Lake. With the surrounding mountains and the large size of the two main lakes, the feel of this park is different from other parks in the lower mainland. The region is rugged and as a result, it is this rugged beauty that makes this park so unique.
