My painting wins 3rd place in art show!
AStand of Trees No.3, depicts a location along the Railway Trail along the West side of Hayward Lake.
I first walked along this trail when I was 14 years old and still do, although these days, I am looking for scenes to paint. I have many memories here. I originally rendered a much smaller study of this grouping of trees with the intent of coming back to it at a later date and expanding it into a larger painting. This is that painting. I enjoy painting entangles with all their intricately detailed branches, tree trunks, and leaves These are the sort of paintings I always find enjoyable to paint.
