Medieval Knight
Medieval Knight. The backbone of any medieval European army was its cavalry. These were the knights of folklore, the heavies that were relied upon to quickly crush their opponents in open combat. Most medieval horses were a lot smaller when compared with what you usually see in the movies and in popular TV shows. The publisher who commissioned me to create this image specifically asked in the work description that the knight should not have a "Norman style helmet", which meant I had to eliminate the knight's nose guard from this figure in this illustration. No explanation was given other than the publisher didn't like the "Norman look". Painting Specifications:
