Hayward lake is a beautiful location to walk, meditate, or simply just be. Just be aware of the bears. I was surprised late one evening as the sun was setting by a mother bear and her two cubs. She wasn't happy when she emerged out of the woods along the old railway trail to find a human standing 20 feet away. She made a sudden dash toward me and I made a sudden retreat away from her. She was satisfied with my gesture and she went back to her cubs and lead them across the trail into the safety of the woods on the other side. I love the detail and complexity of this piece. The scene caught my eye and begged to be rendered as a painting. I am hoping to do a larger version of this painting at some point in the near future. I like the design and the feel of the intricate detail that seems to go on forever like an Escher drawing.
