Gold Creek at the last hour of sunlight, the Golden Hour! This creek is located in Golden Ears Provincial Park, BC, Canada, and flows into Alouette Lake. I first hiked along Gold Creek when I was 7 years old. We were about to go on our annual summer trip to the various national parks when my parents decided it would be a good idea to break in our new hiking boots with a walk along Gold Creek. This was the first place I ever hiked using proper hiking footwear.
This is a memorable, if rugged location, surrounded by mountains and trees. During the 1858 Gold Rush, it was thought this creek may prove to be gold bearing, so it was named appropriately although gold was never discovered in its course. However, gold was found near by this location in small amounts.
