Field Mouse (also known as the Deer Mouse and the White Footed Mouse) I once lived in a house that quite unexpectedly became overrun with Deer Mice. A next door neighbour had cleared the front of their property and planted a grass lawn, which forced the population of mice onto adjoining properties and we quickly found ourselves overrun with mice in our house. I used live traps and managed to relocate the mice to a nearby field. Deer mice are amazingly intelligent and extremely cute creatures. My Field Mouse, and my Forest Toad artworks were displayed at my February 2020 solo art show in Mission, BC. An elderly German woman at my art open commented that my artwork reminded her of art that was often used in old German children's books. My Field Mouse art is based on old German children's books colour etching styles from the early to mid-1800s.
