Cave Trolls. This was part of a 4-piece commission. I was asked to create 4 illustrations in woodcut style with the stipulation that the final art appears dark and menacing. This project was fun to put together but took a few sketches before I was happy with each of the composition. This piece took over four attempts to get the design to work properly, to be interesting and yet, not overwhelmed with the required details from the art director's notes.
