Having grown up next to Burnaby Lake, I have many memories of the trails and features of the park. I remember the attempts and failures of making Phillip's Point a main picnic ground on the North side of the park, and I remember seeing Mr Phillips who was one of the original residence of the area. Much has changed since those days. I remember when the trails around the lake were being forged, through the dense undergrowth and marshy shorelines. As these trails were being surveyed and cleared, we kids were already riding our bikes along their rough courses.
