Artifact Illustration: Ancient Brass Cauldron. I worked in archaeology as a field artist for several archaeology professors for several years. I always found illustrating artifacts, fantasy, and historical pieces, both rewarding and enjoyable. Working with light and shadows and reflective light can be a lot of fun to construct. This illustration is just one of several pieces I was commissioned to create for a recent book. This object is a brass, cooking cauldron. These featured heavily in ancient European and Eastern tombs.
