Hayward Lake Trail. This is one of five paintings I have done of this trail and park. The trail runs along the west side of the lake, a remnant of a decommissioned logging railway system. Located in a remote area, the trail is best accessed from the North park entrance along Dewdney Trunk Road.
The beautiful surroundings include bears, osprey, bald eagles, swallows, butterflies, coyotes, frogs, deer, and many other animals. Pack a lunch and water -- cell phone reception is spotty at best.
