Canada Geese at Alouette Lake. I had never seen Canada Geese on this lake before, but the day I went to Alouette Lake with my girlfriend was not a usual day. On this day, the park was empty despite it being early Summer. It being the early week may have had something to do with it. I only saw 6 other people, and no one was walking the beach near the dam. As we walked the shoreline, off in the distance, we saw two Canada Geese. They noticed us, and we noticed them. After ten minutes, we passed each other. Each eyeing the other. No words were uttered, no fear was shown. It was just mutual trust. The geese must have done this before.
