My portfolio represents a collection of published artwork spanning the last 25 years. These are all commissioned pieces that I rendered for client book covers and interiors pages, but are also projects that I created for their brochures, newsletters, business cards, board and card games, and online global media sales presentations, and websites.
I create a lot of different types of artwork using several different styles. My artwork can be used in a variety of different publication types and even on products such as plates, coffee mugs, banners, websites, video promotional work, etc.
That medium I prefer is black line, printed or drawn, with watercolor or gouache. My line weight tends to be heavy, numerous or the focus. Its just the style I have developed over the years and was definitely influenced from my study medieval artwork and history in general. Much of my style also comes from my experience of working in the medium of print during my art school years and working as a silkscreen artist while putting myself through school. Although a lot is also owed to the countless hours I have spent working with experimental art -- if I think a technique will work, a known or a new unknown technique, I will give it a try. Some of my best results have come from showing no fear in the face of what others have told me is impractical, flawed or impossible.
